Upheaval Productions is possible only because of the support it gets from its friends. All the films here have been made purely as a labor of love (and solidarity!), the funding coming from fundraisers in our communities and straight out of our pockets. For this reason we ask you to help us out in any way you can. There are numerous ways this can happen:
- Organize a screening! The number one way our films get shown is by the network we’ve been able to establish of people just like you who have taken it upon themselves to organize a screening and thereby expand our audience. Help us out and get the information from our films to more and more people by organizing your own screening at a community center, a small film-house, your school, or even your living room! We’ve got a lot of support we can offer you from afar, but we need people on the ground!
- Organize a benefit! One of our biggest obstacles in producing more films and distributing the ones we have is cash flow. Most of what we do comes from our own private funds, but we have had a lot of success in throwing benefit parties or shows to raise money for making or showing our films. If you’d like to help us out in raising money, let us know!
- Open your wallet! Okay, so we hate asking for money, but as you’ve read above, it’s damn necessary. If possible, please give us anything you can so we can continue producing independent media.
